XCMG takes the lead in launching global livestreaming campaign as its initial program of the International Customer Festival Season 2 on May 20, 2020. The program featured a large-scale machine show at China’s largest construrction equipment test site with product introduction from industrial influencer. The online event was livestreamed on its in-house developed platform along with Wechat, TikTok, Kwai, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn.
According to XCMG, the global livestreaming campaign has achieved nearly 600,000 views with over 3 million exposures, and as of noon, May 21 the livestreaming campaign has helped to sell over 400 units of equipment with a total amount of around 150 million yuan. The promotion will run through the end of September with active orders coming in.
During the machine show, China’s largest test site for construction equipment has been rocked by XCMG’s earthmoving and road equipment through a joint operation with excavators, wheel loaders, road machinery and heavy trucks. The operators were working together to simulate a joint construction work in Southeast Asia, which demonstrates the high adaptability and the seamless operation of XCMG equipment.
As an influencer in the international trade of China’s construction machinery, Dr. Hanson Liu, Vice President of XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and General Manager of XCMG IMP & EXP Co., Ltd. became a web celebrity during the livestreaming event. He promoted the products with sharing of real cases, introducing of the technology, and building the friendship with highly engaged viewers worldwide through his plain language and witty words.
At the joint operation site, there were over ten couples from XCMG proposed marriage confessions, which not only fits the theme of 520 Internet Valentine's Day (May 20 is an Internet Valentine’s Day that celebrated by most of the young people in China as the three numbers 520 have the pronunciation associated to “I love you” in Mandarin) but also adds a layer of romantic warmth to the steel cold construction equipment.
At the opening ceremony of the livestreaming event, Donghai Xu, Deputy Mayor of Xuzhou City, spoke highly of XCMG's use of new technologies and methods to explore the global market under the epidemic situation. Wang Min, Chairman of XCMG said that this event coincided with the release of KHL’s Yellow Table 2020. XCMG has moved up to 4th place from 6th in the ranking of the world's top 50 construction equipment manufacturers, continuing to lead China’s OEMs on the list.
In the first quarter of this year, XCMG's export sales also excelled in the industry, growing by over 20% against the trend. The whole livestreaming campaign lasted around two hours, with exciting equipment performance, fascinating product introduction from industrial influencer, and joyful interactive activities. Viewers from all over the world also spoke highly of XCMG's donation of medical masks to friends all over the world and assistance in the procurement of medical supplies of more than 400 million yuan during the pandemic.
